HOIHOI, based in Helsinki, Finland, is responsible for the personal data processed through this online shop. Privacy enquiries and requests can be sent to hello@hoihoi.eu.
Information we process
- name, billing and delivery address, email address and telephone number;
- account details, order history, returns and customer-service communications;
- product reviews and any review images that a verified purchaser chooses to upload;
- transaction references and payment status. Full card details are processed by the selected payment provider and are not stored by HOIHOI;
- technical information such as IP address, browser information, security logs, cookie choices and website interactions;
- marketing preferences and campaign interactions where marketing has been requested or otherwise lawfully permitted.
Why we use personal data
Data is used to provide the website and account, process and deliver orders, take payment, prevent fraud, handle returns and support, meet tax and accounting duties, protect the service, improve the shop and send marketing where consent or another lawful basis applies. The legal bases are performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests and consent, depending on the purpose.
Service providers and recipients
Information may be shared only as needed with website hosting and e-commerce providers, payment providers such as WooPayments/Stripe and PayPal, delivery carriers, professional advisers, security and fraud-prevention providers, and analytics or email providers when those services are enabled. Authorities may receive information where the law requires it.
Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, recognised safeguards such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections are used.
Retention
Order and transaction records are retained for the periods required by accounting, tax and consumer law. Account, support, security and review data is retained only for as long as it is needed for the stated purpose, dispute handling and legal claims. Marketing data is retained until consent is withdrawn, the recipient unsubscribes or it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your data, object to certain processing and withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman or another competent supervisory authority.
